I think it brings into relief the foolishness of regulating relations between two people on the basis of their nationality -- that is, for a government to say "You can rent your house/buy from/sell to/give a job to a person from our country but not from another country" is bizarre.
I heard the Scottish independence leader was suggesting another Scottish-independence referendum, with the goal of having an independent Scotland join the EU. Looking at the map, I can see why. Phil, do you have any thoughts on that?

Mitch, Scottish independence is the one ray of hope in the currently bleak situation. Whether it will happen is unclear, but I will push for it.
